Electrical fire

So my neighborhood has had an electrical fire, burning a telephone pole completely and another one is scorched too. Both will likely have to be replaced, sadly this means I will be without electricity for a while. Thankfully though, I live in San Luis Obispo and the sun is shining right now. So a few days without lights won't be too hard, however a few days without an automatic mister will suck. My Jackson chameleon doesn't drink until 2 minutes in and isn't satisfied until about 4 minutes. My panther is shedding. They get misted 4 times a day for 4 minutes each plus whatever extra I do by hand. So I will be without electricity, most likely for a few days, thank God most of my reptiles are low maintenance and we have good sun where I am. Only the chameleons are much of a worry and I can put my panther in my outside cage for a few hours, and take my Jackson outside in the morning for an hour or two, just read a book or something while she sits on me.

I am not sure if this is the absolute decision, but it seems like what's going to happen. It is bad for the fridge items too .___.

I wish I could get a generator, maybe when we move back to the old house. Good news though today, just woke up and the electricity is already back ^^ yay for small miracles

Glad it worked out -

Just a heads up : I also live in California and was in a similar situation. We were without electricity for over four days, and a lot of food could not be saved. I got in touch with the power folks, and they gave me a three hundred dollar credit on my account for the inconvenience and to help with the cost of replacing food.
