Enclosure Fail = Gravid Female?

I had this cage built for my kids and finally got it set up. The "roof" isn't done yet, so I just placed the wood piece on top. Apparently it was warped enough to leave small space at the top of the divider to allow Pascal to climb into Felinos side...that's all I can guess. The only other explanation is that someone put her in there, the boyfriend swears he didn't and we don't have kids. I couldn't find any other access. To temporarily fix it, I put cinder blocks on top until I can finish the roof. I moved the kids in there Sunday. When I got home today I went to feed and water them and got a surprise! Pascal was in Felinos side black and orange all hissing and swaying away. Felino was a respectable distance away just staring at her all shaggy with shed. I immediately removed her and checked her out. She has an undeniable "man scrape" on her back of his three little claws and she was showing receptive colors when she caught a peek at him previously. Felino is just under a year, Pascal is almost a year and a half. This is the enclosure and this is the color she has been since I separated them. I had planned on breeding them, but not today! I didn't actually see them mate (but she has the claw mark) so I do not know if she will lay a fertile clutch...is there a way to tell if she was mad cause she was "done", or mad because she was already chocked full of eggs and didn't want any in the first place? Either way...shopping for laying goodies tomorrow. Thank you in advance for any input!

LOL! Thank you! There are three in each side, small medium and large. Plus some palms and scraggly umbrella plants. I haven't put the dowels in yet, but they seem to be fine without it. I checked on Pascal this morning and she seemed kinda light colored, but darker than normal...We will see what she looks like this afternoon!!!

She does look gravid and plump in the picture above. Post some more pics when you can. BTW that is a nice setup... she must feel like she is at home in the jungle.

Wow Very sweet looking cage&setup. Can they see each other or is there a solid barrier between them that blocks there vision? Those are stress or gravid colors. Good Idea on setting up a laying bin.

I will post some more as soon as I get home this afternoon! I need to pick up some buckets and sand and dirt, but I want to rush home and see what color she is! Yep, it's decided...so going home and THEN to Walmart! thank you all for the enclosure Kudos :) It's basically a 4' cube divided in half. The middle screen is removable to make one VERY large enclosure. I wonder if a 4' x 2' x 4' heavily planted enclosure would happily house two females? Guess it would depend on the girls in question; but generally?

I forgot to submit that last one before I went out lol... It is screen and they can see one another occasionally. She doesn't seem to be bothered and he doesn't incessantly try to get to her. It is heavily planted and about to be more so. (Might as well get more plants with the laying bin stuffs.) They see less of one another now than they did in there reptibreezes. I check on them as often as I can outside of my work day. Before this encounter she was always a nice creamy peach and would sit coyly looking at him from the saftey of her own place. However, if she seems stressed and more plants don't suffice, I will cover the screen between them.

Still the same colors! No Felino in sight either!

DSC_0031.jpg Pascal must be gravid! Hanging out all chill without Felino in sight...and SUPER FAT! YAY! Lawd I hope I don't screw this up. It pours rain every fifteen minutes...dunno if I can get in and out of Walmart tonight with 100 lbs of sand and soil without drowning...but I'm off to try!
