Enclosure Ideas?

So I'm just trying things out to see what my male, 1.5-ish year old ambilobe pather chameleon would like more...
He is in love with his bird ladder and really likes the plants so he can hide and feel secure (mood tbh). I know that chameleons typically prefer to hide amongst the leaves but I was just curious to see if you guys think he would use a log hollow or some form of a hide? Has anyone tried this? Any feedback would be great:)

I recommend a natural looking forest edge style arrangement with real branches and plants. The first pic is from Chameleon Academy and the second is mine. Panther chameleons don’t hide in logs, they hide up high in branches, concealed in foliage.

What’s fun about providing my chams with plants with dense hanging foliage is they rarely go in there. They know they have somewhere safe to hide so that seems to embolden them to stay out in the open.

Maybe the dwarf ground dwelling variety would like hollow logs. Best of luck on your redecorating!

your enclosures are beautiful! mine doesn't have as many plants right now, half of them died not too long ago due to gnats

I agree with the above, your chameleon would like it much better with many places to climb and lots of plants. (Pothos and umbrella plants are my favorite)
