Enclosure interior

Hi all so I'm working with muji panthers at present on creating 2 new enclosures and was wondering does anyone or has used fern panels or Cork tiles inside I'm wanting to set up 2 bio active

What are fern panels? I recall at least one member using cork tiles, but I can’t remember who.
I used Great Stuff foam on one enclosure to create a background and coco coir panels on my other two.

Soft fern tree panels i suppose all the same purpose just different material supposed to be good to create living walls lol hope I'm not going to bite off more than I can chew with new vivs

I put a panel of ceiling egg crate on the back wall for viney plants to climb & create a wall of living plants. It's coming along nicely.

See im getting 2 new vivs back and both sides solid the guy making them said he could do them with Cork walls which are 20mm or use fern tree panels I think 10 mm. Its just that I've never done anything like this before and don't want to mess up as its a reasonable price

Will the egg crate not break down or am I thinking about wrong stuff.this is the stuff @MissSkittles

Will have to do a rethink on fern tree panels way to expensive was going to cost around 150 to do 1 wallI've 6 dont think so whats the coco coir I've is it any good for climbing . My other option is cork

My chams don’t routinely climb the coco coir panels, but they can if they choose. I’d prefer they didn’t, but they don’t listen to me. Have you looked into expanding foam? In the US we have Great Stuff brand...no idea what brands are in Europe. I think whichever way you go, it will be a decent chunk of cash.

Yeah seen that great stuff dont fancy it. lol yeah lost track how much I've spent this year only have my girl 10 months she's in 2nd enclosure and I'm planning her 3rd. Lol

I've seen tree fern panels used a lot in vivariums, especially for things like dart frogs. I think they're mainly used as a "natural" looking foundation for epiphytes. But yeah, they're expensive and in a drier enclosure where most epiphytes won't thrive anyway, there's way better options. Cork bark is wonderful, and if you're still drawn to tree fern fiber, you could always silicone loose fiber in between the cork.

It just seemed like vines and stuff dont know what the stuff is lol could cling more better to fern panels want to create live walls but at present probably go for cork lined and add some fern panel pieces to keep cost down a bit
