First I am new to this forum. I am new to chameleons. I am researching before I jump in too fast. I am wondering if I am pushing the envelope with either of the above measurements???

a little small... Unless its a wee wEE WEEE chameleon.... Most veterans will tell you to go up in cages as your cham gets older so I guess the real question is how YOUNG will the cham be and what material is each enclosure and are you willing to keep upgrading cage sizes...

Welcome:D I'm hoping those sizes are measured in feet! and if so thats very big. Not bad! just very big. If it's in inches you'll be torturing the animal. excuse my ignorance if your using some other type of measuring units

lol I dont think my cham would mind in feet ; )

What kind of cham are you planning on getting? we'll be able to give much better advise on husbandry knowing.

im assuming feet? usually ppl dont measure in inches here.... that would be like Chameleon paradise lol... as stated above if thats inches try more.....24"24"48 + if its a baby..... you dont want something that big though...

im sure it is an exo terra cause that is exact dimensions for two of there cages and they dont make something that big so it is inches and even the bigger of the two sizes is small even for a juvenile imo

I knew I should have been more specific. :p

I meant inches.

I am wanting to house the leaf pygmy chameleon.

The reason I wanted to double check is because a well known reptile seller told me that the 8" x 8" x 8" would be ok for a pair but no more than the pair.

thanks for all responses. you guys are too funny:D
