Enclosure size suitable?

I don't think the material pictured would hold up to water contact. Misting, dripper, live plants with soggy soil. For a hundred, you could buy brand new screen cage shipped.

It looks iffy at best...I'm sure you can find something at LLLreptile for about the same money (they are very nice on shipping) that will work well.

It is cool though...I sort of wish I had an animal that would thrive in that environment because I have a huge empty wall in my bedroom and that would be such a cool thing to put there.

It looks to me with a little drilling and cutting it would work great but for that much money you can buy a 24x24x48 and pay shipping and have some money left over so unless you can get him down to like under 75 I would just buy one or make your own. I do like the cage design though it would be great for that iguana but if you do buy it make sure to put enough holes in the to get proper air circulation

I agree .. it should be higher. I was a bit worried about that.

As for LLL, don't they only ship in the states? I'm in Igloo country :p

Eliza, why don't you try getting some geckos .. or a lizard? There is such an awesome selection out there .. and you can house more than one in an enclosure. Make a little tropical paradise in your spare space lol I personally would love to get a few crested geckos. That's the next on my list. :)

I'd love to....but there are human obstacles in the way...every pet is an expense and we're a tad tight on the budget...so, new pets happen when the person in charge of the finances (my husband) says we can have them.

Maybe I'll show him the pictures...he's sort of a sucker for stuff that looks really cool...

lllreptile ships internationally with the exception of live animals.

(just a completely off topic note..it's fun to go to lllreptile and know, when you're there in the little store that this is one of the top sites for reptile owners...to look at it, you'd swear it was a little Mom and Pop store)

The lllreptile screen cages are perfect - fair price, easy access, and bottoms that you can pull out and clean easily!

Thanks for the link!

I wonder if it's just cheaper to buy from Chameleon Nation .. I know he has some for sale. I've been thinking of just making an enclosure for fun since I'm on mat leave. My husband is all about it so it might be a worthy venture. I got some info from Sandra on how she created hers which looks awesome .. I'm just open to all ideas at this point. I like LLs enclosure though .. they are simple and have a great reputation.
