I have a 16x16x30 inch cage and apparently it is too small for my baby veiled chameleon. I was wondering if I could just buy another cage the same size and take the wall off one side of each and attach them together so I would have a 32x16x30. Or should I just get a 24x24x48.

why do chameleons need that big of an enclosure? I need to explain to my mom why I need a bigger one than I have, thanks!!!

Your chameleon will eventually be 14-18 inches. It is not fair to keep something that large in a 16x16x30 cage where it can barely turn around. Also in the wild they have large territories and are able to explore. A cage is a not a normal environment for a chameleon. It's not fair to any creature to offer not even the minimum that they need. It will cause frustration and aggression. Did you not explain to your mom what the cage size would need to be in the beginning?

I didnt realize it had to be bigger. I just thought that if i get the reptibreeze chameleon kit that it would be good. But i just told her my cage is too small and she no its not.

yeah the chameleon kit is only good for babies. Juveniles around 4-6 months are ready to move into their adult cage. I would show her what I posted.

Right now she is about 8 inches long, do you know how old she could be and should i be getting the 24x24x48 cage asap.

You should be getting it asap. She sounds like she's about 5-6 months old.
