thats nothin....

mine slept upside down on the screen......

it happens, but make sure to have something underneath him. like a plant , just in case he falls, the plant breaks his fall

I don't see how that could possibly be comfortable...

Then again, bugs don't make hungry and hanging upside down makes me dizzy.

So I guess I'm not a chameleon...darn! :D

i usually dont see any of the chameleons that are comfortable with there cage sleep like that. not saying it doesnt happen because it does but i usually see this with chameleons that are new to the cage or have maybe when i have changed the cage around and maybe they are unsure where to feel comfortable.

Well today he got his first extended time outside (about an hour) then he free ranged on his umbrella tree ( for about 2 hours) then ever since he's been back in his Viv he was climbing all on the screen trying to get out, I think....

So I'm thinking it has something to do with that

My cham sleep slike that all the time. and atraxia, hes been in the same cage since day one and nothings changed lol.
just saying.

I caught mine inverted hanging on with just three legs the other night. Wish I got a picture, it's like he just stopped mid-movement and went to sleep. Wish I slept that hard.

Haha I accidentally woke him up and he went to the branch closest to my bed and just starred at me like " I dare you to let me out of this cage"

Yes. I suspect the weird sleep positions are a result of new or changed enclosures. I've had chameleons sleep on the ground (how scary is that?) because of a big change...they later found their place that felt safe.

Let me ask you something, is your cham in a room where there's light on while he she sleeps?

It almost looks like he/she is trying to avoid light shining on him/her.

My girl slept upside down as well, also caught her sleeping on the door of her cage once too.

I caught mine sleeping hanging from the top on only 2 legs, facing straight down. I woke up him just cause I figured he would fall at some point haha.

Nope I was work at night so my room was pitch black all night

Both of mine sleep like that at times. Not really sure why. But they choose to do it so I just leave them to it. Mine have dull lights on too until we go to bed so they do sometimes get caught on there when the lights go out but they usually move to a branch etc
