Every roach keepers worst nightmare....

I was going to say turn down the heat in your house and crank the AC ... set up a warm spot in your bathroom (apparently its a popular bug refuge) and put some food out and wait ... Maybe turn your shower on hot or something lol.

This sounds like a huge effort, but if I was in your shoes I would be doing this and pulling an all nighter to avoid castration with a rusty spoon. I am so scared for you, just because I know the trouble *I* would be in hahaha.

Nymphs don't have babies, so unless you have an adult female running around you are safe. I had a couple of juvies escape in my garage and they died. We found them dead. Good thing I knew how many got away from me.

I guess we can all learn from you. Always have a cover at hand when dealing with roaches and always make sure it is a tall container so they can't make it to the top. My Discoids don't climb which is nice.

True but nymphs grow up into adults which can populate my whole kitchen.

Yeah... I do have a glass terrarium set aside for them, its just not ready yet. Been keeping them in the Tupperware in the mean time since I did not get that many.

Oh yeah, my evil little mind has been thinking of all kinds of creative wats to get them. Just need to find my ceramic heat emitter from the iguana. I have one idea. I got a text this morning, the queen will be coming home tomorrow instead. This will be fun....
 
I feel your pain and fear. If David had any idea a couple of roaches had escaped, the rest of my roaches would be history. I always hope I find the ones that get our.:confused:
 
On our honeymoon my wife and I went to a gorgeous little family owned ocean side bed and breakfast 20 miles south of Cancun, we got the suite with a huge sliding glass door unobstructed view of the ocean, the room was gorgeous, clean, and quaint with a mix of modern and traditional palapa roof style. Exactly what we love. It was October so that means the tropical rainy season was going on which we also really love. What is better than a tropical downpour? The coastal swamp was to one side and the ocean on the other, really a perfect setting in my opinion. The first night we got there getting all settled in and enjoying the time a GIANT roach came strolling across the floor. I'm not sure exactly the species but it was huge!

I had to go talk to the owner as my wife was sitting on the bed freaking out about the roaches. The owner just laughed and said they weren't roaches they were water bugs coming up from the rain. Ha haa. I asked for another room and he lectured me that I already have his best room and those bugs will be everywhere we go.

I convinced my wife after about 2 hours it was okay. So in a tropical paradise my wife STILL would do anything to avoid a roach. Later when we were driving back to the B&B two huge tarantulas ran across the road, I asked if I should go get them to handle the roaches in our room (the only thing she hates more than roaches is spiders, so that was a fun conversation!) ha haaa

We don't choose our mates based on their tolerance for insects and I suppose this is just one more challenge of keeping our Chameleon friends...

Lol, nice. Maybe that's what I need to do. We have wild tarantulas out here on the county back roads. I am kind of tempted to go catch some and release them all over the house. Roach problem, gone!
