Exo Terra Heat Glo Bulb Life?

Hi guys. My husband bought an Exo Terra heat glow 75 watt for my cham... the bulb housing supports 100 watts. The bulb burned out at almost exactly 3 months of use. Is this normal?

I also saw on a website (where I get all my koi stuff) that it was half price than at Petsmart so I might just order from there.

mine died after 3 weeks. Apparently touching the bulb can do that (oil from your fingers).

I brought mine back to the store and they gave me a new one without even looking at the receipt.

They should last up to 6 months.but I don't handle the bulb with my bare hand and I move it away when misting as it can crack them

Whenever I remove or install bulbs, I always take a clean cloth and go around the bulb when I am done to remove oils... I also wash my hands off too... I want to get another one soon but I am using a different for right now (sunglo 100 watt)... dont know if he likes it though... i dont see him bask much under the sunglo.
