Exo Terra Ultrasonic Fogger

I don't recommend using a fogger in a glass tank as too much humidity and the stagnant air created by lack of air flow in a glass tank can cause respiratory infections.

They work by ultrasonic vibrations turning water into fine particles, then a fan blows it through a tub into your enclosure. You can run the tube anywhere into your enclosure.

No its not used to replace misting, just to increase humidity for chameleons that require high amounts of humidity.

How do they work? Where abouts in the viv do you fit them? And does this replace me misting the viv?

they do work..but the zoo-med reptifogger works best for chams..and you will still need to mist (misting is different than the fog, and you still want everything to be able to completley dry out before the next fog and misting)

hope that helps..:D

no, they do not replace a real mister like an exo terra monsoon or a mistking mister. They work better with an all enclosed glass or acrylic vivarium instead of an aluminum cage because it creates a warm mist to flow either from a waterfall or container of water. I had one but it stopped working after a couple of days and I had it in an empty gatorade bottle and my cham actually climbed down from his perch to drink directly from the bubbling water, he just dipped his whole head into the bottle (which was trimmed down to fit the fogger into the opening).

If your going to use it make sure that the water used is distillled/filtered instead of tap water or else you will have to replace the fogging unit becuase they get clogged very easy.

Thanks for all the advice, I'm looking to setup up like a dropper system as well iv got a little dripper but it just stops dripping half way through the day, has any one got any tips or advice of what I can buy to as a good dripper or mister?
