Explain fruit fly culture

1)...they are fruit flys. (insects. you can buy flightless. they are about the size of an ant)
2)they are small feeders for small reptiles/insects/amphibians that need them to eat when they are young and sometimes even as adults. they are easy to find and to keep.
3)easy

a culture has media (food), Excelsior (more room to climb around on) and flies. the purpose is for them to mass produce in this.

A Fruit Fly Culture is a self contained Fruit Fly habitat that produces flies for about 4 weeks. They're great to feed to fish, frogs, and small reptiles.

Culturing flies is essentially just breeding masses of them in a medium the maggots like to eat and the flies like to lay eggs on/in

If you want to breed them to sell them. Use a 5 gallon bucket and do it the same way u do a 32 oz. culture. You will have millions of flies within a month. But i warn you if you even let them out on that scale.........man, just dont do that,lol.

I wouldn't recommend this, too many opportunities to have a mess on your hands. Stick to small 32 oz cup enviroments so you can regularly change the media/cups after 28 days to avoid mite contamination.
