Explosive Shed

I am not having a problem, but a local friend is. we both live here in florida so the humidity is always high. Min-40% max-80. thise numbers are the norm. Now his main question is why does it take so long for his veiled to complete a shed. several days(4) to a week. The skin wants to go, but it comes off very little at a time. should he be worried?

Hi Justin,
My Veil can easily take up to several weeks or longer to complete a major shed....I don't think your frined has to worry about his Chameleon.
Each individual Chameleon will shed at different rates due to amt. of humidity in the air, lighting and sun exposure, diet..etc. Otherwise, I assume that healthwise, the Chameleon is doing well and that it's norm that their appetite will drop during the peak of their shedding period.
