Eye concern

My baby amblilobe seems to have his right eye a slightly bit smaller/closed than the right one. They are both functioning well and there is no sign of an infection. Like I said it just seems like a "lazy eye". Is this possible/normal? Thanks for your input.

Like I stated before it functions well I am just concerned his other pupil(Black are) is smaller than his right. I recently started "exercising" his eye by hand feeding him and only showing him the food on his ride side. I welcome any advice or reasons for his smaller pupil.

Your Chameleon - male ambillobe, about 3 months, and I have had him for about 1 month
Handling - No more than 3 mintues everyday
Feeding - crickets and hornworms, about 6-8 crickets everyday and one hornworm every other day, 4 crickets at about 8Am and the other 4-5 at about 4 pm. Fluckers gudloading carrots
Supplements - repashy calcium plus every other day
Watering - Drip system, 30 minute intervals twice a day (morning and afternoon) have seen him drink water
Fecal Description - White fecal matter everyday
Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?No

Cage Type - Medium reptibreeze all aluminium screen cage
Lighting - ZooMed Naturalistic Terrarium Hood, ReptiSun 5.0 UVB Fluorescent Bulb, light on from 7 30 am - 630 pm
Temperature - 75-90 degrees, never drops below 70 thermometer
Humidity - usually about 60% misting 3 times a day What do you use to measure humidity gauge
Plants - one medium size ficus
Placement - located in isolated room near a fan and caddy corner to the ac vent. top of the cage is about 5 ft from the floor
Location - South Texas ( Rio Grande Valley)

just thinking outside of the box....do you have any plants that have the white sticky milky substance that discharge from the stems when cut?

No I don't.... I would assume that if it was something within the enclosure both eyes would be affected. Thank for you input though...

His pOint is valid, chameleons can rub their eyes from time to time, and you stated you have a ficus which has a discharge when cut. I know when I rub against mine when cutting it back I get itchy as hell. Not to say that it's the issue but it is a scenario

Yes I see where you are coming from. Only thing is thats how it was when he first arrived. I personally feel like it has gotten better. But thanks anyways

Are you saying you got him with this eye issue?


But I would try and long steam shower(just put him on a plant in the shower and turn in on warm and let him soak up the steam for about 30 minutes) and get some plain saline solution, if you need to go to a pharmacy and find/ask the one with the least amount of ingredients.
