Eye has gone bad, please help!

Thank you so much! I have next week off of after school activities, so I should should be able to take her at like three to three thirty with my mom, unless I can get her in earlier. Thank you so much! Also, I will be taking out her Asparagus fern, as I found one of the prickles on her bad eye. It had not gone in yet, but was on the eye just a bit to get stuck. I will contact the vet and see how soon I can get her in.

How's she doing with the egglaying? At least if you can get her through that it will be one less thing to worry about. Don't let her see you watching her when she's digging.

She did not lay last night. This morning, she crawled back up to her basking spot. Luckily, even though she cannot see, she still moves around her cage like a champ. I'm guessing that she has memorized the cage layout, because she is still drinking water and has not fallen off a branch.

MINI UPDATE: flower, unsurprisingly, is still awake. She opened her better eye so she can still see, and was angry at everything. No signs of eating yet, but thank goodness I know she at least is able to still see. I have seen her drink multiple times and do a few laps around her cage in the past few hours. Hopefully vet appointment will be Monday.

MINI UPDATE TWO: Both vets are out till Friday. Flower, however, is getting better. She managed to completely open her left (better) eye, and was drinking and hissing at the dogs as usual. Pic is of her drinking. She is also about to shed.

MINI UPDATE THREE: I'm getting worried about the vet appointment. It cannot happen until next Tuesday, although the vet said if she has an emergency, to get her there right away. Her crest and cheeks are sunken. I was able to feed her two crickets this morning. I'm not sure whats going to happen.

Sunken in casque and cheek are sings of dehydration, spraying her in the face will stress her out I would suggest a syringe, touch the water drops to her lips. If you can get her to eat a horn worm that would help. Best of luck I hope she lives

Just to add here, I’ve also heard that sunken in eyes can be a sign of severe stress.

UPDATE: Vet appointment just finished. Her infection is untreatable. They tried the different medicines in the bacteria swab, and all of them reacted in the same way the baytril did. They gave her a water shot, a shot of electrolytes and multivitamin, and sent her home with some pain meds. They told me to do everything I could to get food in her and to keep her drinking. i'm scared for her. I dont know what i will do without her.

I would definitely go to another vet for a second opinion.

I’m very sorry to hear this. You are in the worst place a pet owner has to be in! There are bacterial cultures that can be done, where they culture the bacteria from a sample and see which, if any, antibiotic is effective, but this will require more vet visits and lab work. I can’t actually counsel you here, and I don’t know your Cham like you do. Anyways, just know the community is here for you.

Did they check the swab for fungal infection?

They swabbed, and confirmed it was bacterial.
