eye has wrinkles

My panther chameleon I recently got gets eye goop every now and then and I don't handle or hand feed so I don't know why he is getting so stressed out, his left eye has lots of wrinkles while his right eye looks fine. How do I get the eye goop out and do the wrinkles mean anything. Thanks.

Chameleons do not get eye"goop" like people do. Sounds like something more sinister going on like an infection. Posting pictures would be helpful, but I would take him to a vet. He may need an antibiotic.

Dryness and vitamin A deficiency are commonly linked to eye problems. Do you have a picture?
