Eye infection?

Is there anything else it could be and is there anything I can do?
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin, so once it's processed into the body, it takes a while for the body to process it back out.
I'd suggest keeping an eye (heh) on your cham's eyes, and consider a vet appointment if things get worse/don't start getting better.

Otherwise, it may take a bit for your cham to process out the extra Vitamin A that's in the body, which SHOULD help clear the eyes up as they get back to normal Vitamin A levels.

You can always take him to an experienced chameleon vet for a regular check up and further evaluation of his eyes. You can also do bloodwork to see if he has too much preformed Vit. A in his system, along with checking other stuff if that's what you're concerned about

hes been doing this for about 15 minutes total a day, I'm leaving for summer camp tomorrow and my dad is going to be at home, he is super smart and he was a medical examiner and did a bunch of other medical stuff, he also did a bunch of research on vit a overdoesages and underdosages, I left him a note on stuff to do and I told him what needs to happen if he starts closing his eyes 24/7 the vet visit is in a week but if it gets to bad he's going to take him to the emergency vet. Based on what I've seen and the vets I've talked to I suspect that it's an overdose and he just has to work the excess out of his system, vitamin A being a fat soluble vitamin can take time to be absorbed. It looks like another thing may be coming out of his other eye which I suspect is excess vit a. (It's in the front of his left turret this time, he seems to be doing well aside from closing his eye/eyes during some parts of the day, he will eat the occasional fly but has stopped eating as much, I'll update if anything else happens.

I'm different then others. As soon as I notice anything I call for an appointment. But I over worry about stuff. Hopefully you guy gets better in no time. I drive like 1.5 to that vet but love them been taking my brid there forever. My dog vet like 15 mins from home. But dogs easy.
