Eye issue

So my boy Apollo just a few days ago started shutting his left eye. He will open it periodically but the whole eye torrent is kinda sucked in. His other eye is wide open and alert (& eye torrent not sunk in). I know normally if both eyes start closing / sleeping in the day that's really not good but this is different. My friend mentioned maybe it's a vitamin A thing. If anyone has went through something similar could use some advice. Should also note it doesn't appear to be anything stuck in that eye

Hi, your chameleon might have a sunken eye and closing it because he is dehydrated. although I'm not sure why its only one eye. you might see if his poop is orange/yellow and make sure there is dripping water from leaves.

I would get that eye checked out by the vet. It could be something stuck in it that you can not see. He could have injured that one eye.

Yeah im lining him up with a vet visit asap. Think his vision is hindered in that eye as well

I dont think it's dehydration unfortunately. His urate looks pretty good

Do the supplements you dust with contain a prEformed source of vitamin A?

If your supplements have vitamin A then it is not a deficiency. Also the fact that he is favoring one eye and pulling that eye in to me suggests something is affecting the eye itself. Which to me would point to something being stuck in it.

Update everyone! He's at the vet and I will keep you all posted. I did put some ointment last night that I was prescribed for another panther awhile back that (had stuck shed in his eye.) Today before I took him to the vet his eye was open alot more and less sunken in. So hoping it's something not so serious
