Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - Male Panther, 2 Years Old

Handling - Daily, if he willingly climbs onto our hand, these last two days he has not seemed interested in us and is hiding which is unlike him.

Feeding - Crickets, Superworms, Leafy Greens and Orange Cubes are the gutload. He ate 4 superworms yesterday

Supplements - Calcium without D3 every few days, vitamins every two weeks

Watering - Dripper, he drank yesterday for sure (I saw him)

Fecal Description - I've never had him tested for parasites, fecals seem to be normal from what I have read here

History - I have only had him for a month. I bought him from LLReptile who had originally sold him as a baby, but the Owner returned him after 2 years. I think the reason was that the guy was moving...

I have a 2 year old Panther whom I have had for about a month. I noticed him rubbing his eyes against branches but hoped it was due to shedding. Then three weeks ago he got this gunk in one eye. I took a Q-Tip and wiped it out. However I still felt that his eyes were bothering him. Over the last week I noticed he seemed to be blinking "hard" and more often as if he had itchy eyes. Then I noticed the gunk again today. I have a vet appointment Wednesday but wanted to know what you guys think. Has this ever happened to you before? Also, do you think it may be more urgent and I should go before Wednesday? Finally, should I try wiping the gunk out again or leave it alone until the vet appointment. I have noticed him hiding in his plants these last two days, which is very unlike him. Also yesterday I saw him reaching and trying to grab a branch but he was missing it, as if he couldn't see it :(

I took a video, I feel like you can see so much more in videos...

Thank you so so much for any advice.

Thank you for the advice. I picked a tube up and started using it yesterday. Do you think I should use in both eyes to be safe? Also, if I apply once a day, how many days should I apply it?

Thank you- I am worried it could be something more... I am taking him to the vet Thursday to get him checked out really well. Another thing I noticed, but it may be nothing is that in between his two front arms he seems to have a little fluid under his skin... like a small pouch that you can press and it is very soft. It may be nothing but I didn't notice it before.

Also, is there a way a vet can test for vitamin deficiencies? If so, I might have that done to ensure I have covered all bases and that he is doing well.
