Eye problems?

A little worried
Sinbad has been doing this thing where he sometimes looks up at his light and will close his eyes and move them around in the sockets. I have even caught him sleeping during the day a bit. This has been going on for two days now. Never owning a chameleon in the past I don't know what warning signs to looks for, or what could possibly be wrong. I took him out of his enclosure for the first time yesterday and left him on a plant while I got ready for the day, when I returned he has his eyes closed and didn't open them until he was fully on my hand and realized I was examining him what could be wrong?

Fill this out, it will help the more experienced keepers figure out a possible issue. Good luck

I just checked up on him, his left eye is closed but his right eye is open :(

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled chameleon, male, young (unknown age), 1 week in my care
Handling - He was handled the day I got him, and yesterday again
Feeding - 10-12 Crickets (mostly small, some medium) every morning. Crickets are on fluckers diet and potatoes
Supplements - Dusting crickets with reptil-cal daily
Watering - Misting with a spray bottle 2-3 times daily (automatic mister repti rain is being shipped). Used to have a humidifier installed but it was not working well. He does not drink often when I am around.
Fecal Description - He seems to be going normally, He has not been tested for parasites for all I know (Got him at Petsmart, was not a big fan of how his enclosure was set up)
History - Petsmart employee seemed knowledgeable and asked to see pictures of my enclosure despite the small glass enclosure he was in. He is very well fed and has never had any trouble eating. I am a first time Chameleon owner, I got him after seeing him at petsmart for 3 weeks and did the most research that I could.

Current Problem - Eyes

Pictures could help a lot. To kinda get a better picture of whats happening to your cham. Im sure more experienced breeders will chime in. But as far as supplementaion goes, what rep-cal are u using on a daily basis? whatever your using on a daily basis may be the cause of closing of his eye. Look under supplental schedule for a better understanding of how to use and supplements for your cham.

Thank you for the articles! I will research more when I get home. I made an appointment with the vet and will drop him off before work first thing in the morning. I am using Zoo-med repti-cal (came with my setup)
