Eye rubbing

Caught my lil guy eye rubbing, this is his new cage, has a ton of bungee cords, fake branches and 4 plants: pothos, bromeliad, croton, ficus lyrata; I’ve heard the ficus sap can cause eye irritation do you think that’s what this could be? No oozing from eyes or other medical issues present. His humidity is 80s all the time, he’s only been in this new cage since Sat evening.

hold up.... is this tiny flower pot the enclosure??? Please post more pics including lighting.
Nah of course not, it’s a 2x2x4 tall hybrid dragon strand cage; he has a mist king going on 4 x day, lights are: 75w basking bulb that gets to high 80s at highest basking branch, a 15w grow light for plants and a 24” linear T8 10.0 uvb bulb, I have a solar meter and he gets a max UVI 3.0 at the branch under it.

The bungee cords have to go. This is not good on their feet and will not dry out all the way. You need real branches for that dragon strand cage.
80% for humidity in the day is way too high. 50-60% max is what it should be.

I would start reading back through the husbandry program at this link to set up the cage correctly. https://chameleonacademy.com/chameleon-husbandry-program-getting-started-with-chameleons/
Here is the Panther specific care sheet.

Yep this is temporary while I wait on the sandblasted branches, I’m also waiting on a dehumidifier since this hybrid cage increased the humidity during the day by 30-40%, so I’ll need to obvi get it back down. I’ve removed most of the bungees and put in fake branches I just need to keep a few to hold me over until the real ones arrive

I know I've read about vitamin a deficiency causing some eye issues; my dude was rubbing his eyes, so I added Repashy Vitamin A Plus lightly dusted on 2 supers a months. It seems to have cleared up. There is some debate on whether chameleon can metabolize beta carotene and other proformed types of vitamin a into preformed, usable vitamin A, so even if you have good gutloads and variety there may be a deficiency.
