How is the humidity in the enclosure? This happened a lot with me with my chameleon when i first got him. Once I got his humidity right he was better hydrated and his eyes are nice and round now :)

His humidity is around 55-60

You might wanna try to increase the humidity to see if that will help. If you mist by hand make sure you are misting long enough that water drops form, but wait for it to dry before doing it again. The more humid in there the better!

I try but it's always the same I can't seem to get it any higher. Maybe it's because I have a cage instead of glass?

What's your uvb light? I've noticed some chameleons like beardies can be very sense it even to the light. Or if the light has gone bad and you haven't realized he might not be getting any and so that could also be the reason for one eye closed.

He has a uvb bulb from zoo med and it's new. But he also gets natural light because he's in a sun room.

My chameleon sometimes rubs his eye on a branch. (maybe cleaning off some leftover shed?) Have you ever seen yours do this? I'm no professional, but it looks a little swelled. Maybe he scratched it?

It's been like this for a couple weeks now.

If the sun room is glass then all he is getting is the light as uv does not pass through glass.but you have a uv light so he should be getting some from that.
