Eyes close before lights out

Hi everyone.
I have a 1 year old Panther Chameleon who is very happy/angry and healthy (been through the questionnaire on a previous post and all good).
Sometimes he goes to his sleeping place early around 4pm (lights out at 7:30pm) and just waits there till lights are out and then he sleeps.
Very occasionally I've noticed he shuts his eyes as if sleeping early. If I open the door he opens his eyes again but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
He's eating fine, has 12 hours of dark, eyes aren't sunken etc etc. We did put the clocks forward recently in the UK but that was 3 weeks ago now. He never shuts his eyes at any other time.
Thought I'd ask. I've attached a few pics.
Thank you.

My lights are on from 6:30-6:30 and my guy almost always moves into his sleeping spot by 4:30. He curls up his tail and gets ready. As long as he is not closing his eyes while he is basking your good.

Great. Thanks everyone. He seems to be in his 'bed' position a lot today, although did bask for a while and eat a locust. Hoping it's just pre-shed behaviour. Does that make them a bit subdued?
