Fabric mesh cage? Heat lamp?

So I snagged an old chameleon setup off CL last night. It's a 18W x 24D x 36H cage. It has a black tubing frame that easy pushes together. BUT it has a soft black fabric mesh covering. There are zipper doors on the top and bottom.

My question is, can you use a heat lamp with this? Comon sense is going to tell me no. But then what would be the point of a cham cage that can't use a heat lamp?

If it is the reptarium, I used a basking light with it. I just raised it several inches off the mesh and never had a problem.
