Faecal float cost - uk

How much have you paid for a faecal float in the UK, I have been quoted £60 by my vet (not specialised in reptiles) that seems a little steep to me, not sure if he is charging more because of it being a rep, sure a dog/cat is cheaper and the process is the same?

He said he will send it off to lab, surely it can be done in house?

Just phoned another vet as soon as I mentioned chameleon they paused and said hold the line. They said they doubt it can be done in house lab and would need to be sent away.

Both vets boasts they have in house labs surely if you can buy kits etc they could do it? What do they do with cats dogs.

I thought that time taken for me to collect take it to vets them send it off the sample would be useless
