Falling Chameleons

Just wondering how many times do you think your cham has fell. My cham has fell about 15 time in as a 1year old. Is that OK?

Mine fell a lot of times when he was a baby. The vet was here bacause he was sick, let me tell ya, he gave the vet a run for his money. He kept falling & throwing himself trying to get away. He never hurt anything, thank god! I don't think they are as fragile as everyone thinks.

I actually saw Joyce fall for the first time today (I have only had her around a week and a half). I was opening her cage, and she is still mad at me for taking her out to take pics of her the other day, so she tried to do this cool drop-out-of-sight spidey-move......and fell out of her tree. She then shot me the stink-eye look, like it was all MY fault! :D

My veiled fell a few times in the first few weeks after I moved him to his new enclosure. Always from the roof. I'm guessing the aluminum mesh is quite a bit different to climb on than the Reptarium plastic stuff. He landed in his plant most of the time, usually looking around like "WTF just happened?!" before composing himself and putting on the "I mean to do that...." affectation. Once or twice he fell all the way to the bottom, but the process was the same - a few seconds of stunned confusion, then the "that was on purpose..." look as he climbed back up.

i have two brothers (ambanja's) one is really laid back and climbs on my hand the other prefers the leap of death, he dives off when i feed him, he dives when the mister kicks in. I tried spraying instead but guess what he dives off to that too. The strange thing is once he has that out of his system and climds back up he will feed from my hand!
