fecal tests

I've read that its important to get fecal tests every 4 to 6 months, so its about that time for my Yoda. Can i take his sample to any vet to do this, or does it need to be one that specializes in reptiles and other exotic pets?

You should take it to a vet that has at least some reptile experience. They are not looking for the same things as in dog and cat poo. Reptiles are at risk for many more kinds of parasites. You wouldn't want them to miss something just because they were looking for the wrong kind.

I've had my dogs vet do fecals before. If you want to make sure everything is checked just ask them to send it out to the lab and not do an in house fecal.

Like jann said, have them send it out most do that any ways. Also, most vets won't just send out a fecal without bringing your cham in for an examination. But, it is definitely important to have it done.
