Feeder colony suggestions

I really like the size of these. Are they like dubia, in that they won't reproduce in my house if they get free. It's the unspoken roach rule my pather has given me

Believe me, if they could infest houses, my mom woulda killed me by now... They can't survive more than a few days outside their enclosures with how small they are, they'd dry up super fast.

I'm excited! I just ordered another 250. I want to get the colony to a sustainable population fast. They are a great size for my smallest girl that is only 3 months old.

Quick question. I was reading that California is a good habitat for them, does this mean I don't need to use a heat mat?
