Feeder Source Needed!!

im sorry, slipped my mind, but when i reorder in a few weeks i will be sure to do so. (i wrote me a sticky note). thanks again for the site.

I wouldn't consider BUYING leaves lol. Just look and find a BIG tree everywhere you can. When I'm in town I'll try to find one in that area, my parents need them too for their silkies.
The big red berries are what gives it away..here a link so you know what to look for:

I am going to consider planting one and/or trying to grow a cutling soon.

mulberrys by my are black. there is someone in the close area to my house
that have a mulberry tree. im thinking of going over there one day and
asking them if i can use some of their leaves for food for my silkworms.
i think its only propper. otherwise i have to go to my sisters house and
that is like 20-25 mins away and with the price of gas i rather just walk
three blocks. if they dont let me i guess i can sneek in their yard at night
and take some but i dont see why they wont let me, the tree is like 20 feet tall.

im also looking to buy a tree for my yard, but its not the time for thos yet.
i think it would be a good investment. it will take a couple of years before it
will have enough leaves on there to supply my needs but it will also have
mulberrys, so that is a plus.

nice link, if i cant find one round here, i will try to buy one and grow it in my backyard, away from my car of course.lol are all the trees the same? some people say there are berryless trees and whatnot? would those be ok?
I believe that all varieties should be safe for the silkies.

I will add to what lbesok posted, just there are different type of chameleon species, still in the same genus, there are different species of trees, but also in the same genus. So, I agree with what lbesok said.

I don't think 1lbd of chow will last a weekf or 300 worms. I use a 1/2lbs amount of the dry mix and it makes 2 lbs of 'wet' chow. I purchased 10 lbs of dry mix and it cost me $50. When you feed everyday, 1lb will go by very fast. I made 1lb last me a week for about 30 med/large silkies. They eat a LOT of food when they get bigger. You really need to slow thier intake as they get bigger. They will do just fine with every-other-day.

This is how I keep my worms.

A week after I took that photo two of them cocooned. I fed off the largest worms before they could cocoon. One got away in Fred's cage and cocooned on a branch. I can't wait to see it pop out and Fred try to eat it.:D

So you have never bred them yourself? Also, it is safe for the Chameleon to eat the moth?

But if they eat them its safe? All right thanks! This is very useful!! Thanks Summoner!
