feeding a 2 month old panther

We are new chameleon owners and are very excited :) we've done tons of research on feeding but our 2 month old male won't eat the pinhead crickets and I'm worried about offering the larger size due to the choking hazard. He has eaten mini mealworms but I've heard mixed things about them. Other than that he's drinking, very active, and very happy. Any tips or comments would be greatly appreciated Thanks!

You could try some flies, reptiworms, or very small hornworms.

You can get the small hornworms from greatlakeshornworms.com

This will help ensure there are no other issues that would prevent him from eating. How long have you had him? It can take a week for him to eat normally again if you just got him. You could also try feeding him hydei fruit flies. Larger crickets should be OK if they are not wider than the width between his eyes.

When we got lazy boy (almost 7 week panther) we fed him dubias, 1/4 crickets, reptiworms, mini supers and silks. Everything was fresh baby's and you got to keep a fresh supply as they will grow to big for him.

Pinheads are a waste of money for a 2 month old. Try 1/4 inch crickets, small dubia, silks etc. But, if your cham is new it takes some time for some of them to settle in. Just keep an eye on your cham and be patient. Good luck.
