@Ringobaby With juvenile veileds I feed them as much (appropriate sized insects) as they can eat in about 5 minutes per feeding and then I leave a cricket or two in the cage for a snack later.
Make sure you dust and feed/gutload th insects properly and provide proper UVB light too.
I dust the insects lightly with a phos free calcium powder at most feedings and twice a month lightly wi a phos free calcium/D3 powder and twice a month lightly with a vitamin powder that contains a beta carotene (prOformed) source of vitamin A. If you feel the chameleon needs some prEformed vitamin A then you can give it separately. Be aware that prEformed vitamin A and D3 from supplements can both build up in the system and cause health issues.
I FEED/gutload the insects with dandelion greens, kale, collards, endive, escarole, etc and carrots, squash, sweet potato, sweet red pepper, zucchini and a very little bit of fruit such as berries, apple, pear, melon, etc.
