I'm getting my panther cham on Thurs and just trying to get more info before hand. I go to work at 7am and back home about 5pm, if I set lights and heating to come on about 8am and off at 8pm can I feed and mist before I leave for work or should lights etc be on 1st.

I am new chameleons but id recommend that you set the light on at 6 so you can spray at 6:45, having the light on will keep the water from chilling your chameleon, especially if they get soaked. Then just spray when you get home again so there will be time for the enclosure to dry before its lights out. Hope things go well! You can always invest in an auto mister.

Its definitely time to invest in a timer based misting system. One misting in the morning isn't going to be enough for good husbandry. Every few hours between mistings will do the trick. AquaZamp is pretty dependable kit.
