I have a 4 month old veiled chameleon. I am currently feeding him about 12 crickets per day. I was wondering how many of the crickets i should dust with retical? Also how many when i dust with reptical with d3 and when i dust with herptivite?

You wanna cut down the crickets to 5-8 a day and use this dusting schedule

MON-FRI-- Calcium w/o D3

SAT-- nothing

SUN-- alternat with calcium w/D3 and a multivitamin

Also try to use other feeds such as silk worms or horn worms.

I would say for a 4 month old veild depending on the size of the crickets you are feeding 12 is ok but i would prob cut to like 10 but like i said depens on the cricket size. renzos supplement schedule is exactly what you should be doing or you can mix up the days as long as just about every feeding is calcium without D3 and a few times a month with D3 and vitamins

10 is still a little to much if you are using pin heads 10-12 would be ok. If you have mediums I would not use more than 8. Can you post a pic of your cham please?

He didn't want to have his picture taken and is also shedding his skin. We feed him small/medium crickets. Thanks for the replies!

Ok even 10 mediums will be fine! Keep with the dusting schedule also dont forget to gutload the crickets and switch up your feeder choices. He looks good!!! Also I love the name!

I don't cut the diet of the males back like I do with a female....I just make sure that they don't get fat. Also...the number of crickets depends on the size of the crickets you are feeding him too. He's old enough now that you can feed him every second or third day now.

Really at 5 months? I thought it wasnt until they were considered an adult. So around 7-9 months.
