Feeding as Chameleon Ages

My boy is around 5 months old and is still eating about 15 gutloaded/dusted crickets each morning. Around when should I start transitioning him to eating every other day? When we went to the vet to get acquainted and have a fecal test done he weighed 57 grams, a 14 gram gain since we brought him home! \
Any insight is appreciated. :)

Instead of feeding 15 per day try lowering it down by 1 or 2. So only 14 or 13The next day lower it down again by 1 or 2. Keep this pattern until you are feeding one or two per day. Don’t go over skipping more than 2, the more you skip the more it will cause shock for your cham

I would go ahead and start cutting him back once he hits 6 months old. Get him down to 12 each day and then you will want to start reducing your every other day. But I would do it over a few weeks period so he adjusts to getting less. So reduce by 3 feeders each week for a month so you are at none every other day. By then he will be 7 months old and it will not come as a shock since they tend to still want to eat as much as possible. He may shock you though and start cutting back on his own. Eventually when he hits 12 months you are looking to be on an every other day with like 7 feeders... You want to be careful of excess as they are adults because the extra fat is actually quite bad for them.
