feeding/eating

I bought a box of 35-40 crickets. I released them all in the enclosure and within 2 days their numbers diminished noticeably. I'm hoping this means he's eating since I rarely see him in action.

Should I be releasing that many or is there a better way? I'm in the process of making a cricket cup.

Just need some pointers.

Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the forum!

Crickets hide and escape well…I would put 5 or so in a feeding cup, place the cup up in the enclosure where the cham usually sits, but below him.

Another way is to place the cricket on the screen lower than the cham, "push" the cricket to climb up, and the cham will see the food and eat.

CHEERS!

First welcome.... It is not good practice to have crickets in the cage overnight. They may chomp on the chameleon while sleeping.
