Feeding hatchling pygmys

Well I lost 1 out of 2 of my hatchlings. The one remaining seems in good health. His substrate contains tropical spring tails, and I occasionaly put some fruit flys (hydie) in his tank. I have no witnessed him eat anything yet.

Any ideas, or tips? Tank is a 2.5 gallon with a mixed substrate, and pothos. He seems to walk around on the substrate but is not climbing on the pothos just yet. I mist the enclosure every day, and it's at room temp. (68-75F)

Ideas?

Keep your temps low 70's-they die off quick with heat. I have always fed FF and pinhead crickets-some of mine preferred the crix and would not eat the FF.

Go get some pinhead crickets.

I lost 3 of 4 babies feeding fruitflies. I was talking to Mike @ Fl Chams about them and he said he doesn't feed fruitflies only pinhead crickets and they grow great for him that way. So my next clutch will get pinheads instead of Hydei FF.
