Feeding locusts

Im cup feeding my veiled black crickets (dusted) and the occasional wax worm as a treat.

I have also bought some locusts to release in the viv as there is no way that they will stay in the cup, just so that he has the chance to hunt, which he obviously loves to do.

But is there an easy way to dust these, soon as i open the tub they are hopping everywhere.

Thanks in advance

try to open the container as little as possible and slip in some nutrient rich foods and have them eat it, then give them to your cham. somebody may be able to help you a little more than i can:D

I find that putting them in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes helps. It doesn't knock them out like crickets but they definitely slow down and they don't jump anywhere near as much as before.

I think il possibly try the fridge idea, as i dont think i could snip their legs off. Even though they are gonna get eaten. :(

Im only feeding 1 or 2 every couple of days, it just i dont want the black crickets let loose.

And i enjoy watching the little guy in hunt mode :)
