Feeding Meal worms?

Hey everyone,
So I have a 4 or 5 month old Ambilombie Panther. I have been feeding him a constant supply of small crickets, and have just recently changed over to medium crickets. I just got a tub of meal worms thinking that it would be good to get some variety in his diet. However, I am not sure of the best way to feed them to him. I know I should use a feeder dish. But should I place it on the bottom of the cage, or up in the branches? Do you have any suggestions on any good containers that would work well as a feeder dish?

Thanks!!

I would have the dish up top to middle. my cham eats them outa my fingers this benefits my cham and me, because it helps ur cham get more used to u.

I usually put my cup up at the branches..
so far still work.

Ive been trying to get him to eat out of my hand. Ive tried with both crickets and the worms, but he dosent seem to want to. I guess it just takes time. Any recomendations as to a good container to use for a feeding dish?

Ya, he is still small, so I have him in a smaller cage, I dont think something like that would fit. Do you think a small glass dish would work? Ive heard you dont want them to be able to see through the dish because they will over shoot with their tounges, is that true?

It is true.
I would advise you to go easy on the mealworms ...especially with a little guy.
They have been known to cause prolapses and compaction when too many are consumed.
A small container like the one waxworms come in from the petstore or a well washed yogurt container would work well. Thread a twist tie through it and secure it to a branch.
Small Zophoba worms are a similar, better choice. Hard to find readily tho....you would have to order them from someone like reptilefood.com.
They will last FOREVER in cereal with some apple, carrot, collards and as they grow ...so will your cham. I would order 1000 (best deal).

Pictures of new boy please :)

Hey there Dan! Can we get pictures of your new boy? Did you get him as a replacement from the breeder for the poor little Nosey Be that died?
