Feeding nightcrawlers/worms

Well its not really a "goal"

Feed to0 many of a certain roach, and it will be dyed a bit orangish no matter the hydration level
Feed alot of caterpillars, and it will be as runny as bird poop

But at the end of the day its like having a pet human. They dont have to be peeing clear 100% of the time, but a large stint of yellow pee for a few days is cause for concern.
Wait yellow is not good  :hilarious:

It is the name we no longer mention here in the forum. For you say it and he comes forth to tell everyone how stupid they are... Kinda like saying Beetlejuice 3 times... Just not a good idea :hilarious:

To derail this a bit further, on the bodybuilding.com forums, you can not say "broccoli" because of their beef with "thecoli". So if you type the veg that shall not be named It just shows up as a blank spot or "broc****".

Worms skeeve me out. You cut em up
and they just keep wiggling o_O. Wonder if there is a nutritional study out there, since so many humans are eating insects.

I have nothing to back it up, but in the back of my head I feel like there is something about nightcrawlers to avoid, in general? Or maybe it was bloodworms?

Heavy metals maybe? That and parasites are all I've seen brought up, but idt any of us know for sure lol.

Lol is that a new thing? I used to be on there when I was a teenager/early 20s. I remember broccoli plenty because that's all everyone eats when they start weightlifting... broccoli/chicken/sweet potato ?

Hornworms are the best hydrating feeder! Why can't you use those? And silkworms are THE BEST staple feeder IMHO however variety is key!

Hornworms grow fast and don't last very long. I'd have to wait for them to reach optimal size and yet I'd only feed about one every other day or so.

Silkworms are cool, but IDK if I feel like breeding them or taking care of them and I don't want to buy on a regular basis. They are a consideration though.

Ya hornworms grow really fast, you can slow them down by keeping in a cool[not cold] fridge. I keep at around 55 degrees F and after a day i take em out, another day goes, they go back in. They are SUPER easy to care for and like i said the best feeder to hydrate your cham. ?

Maybe the peeps who helped make the Care Images can weigh in? I know earthworms are listed as a no-no bug on there.

That was @Beman(did the heavy lifting putting the actual images together), @Brodybreaux25, and me! lol.

The earthworms I believe were put on there to discourage people from feeding them right out of the wild. Any newb could go collect them in their backyard and it would be very easy for those worms to be contaminated by pesticides, lead, etc.
