So I got some really nice silkworms from Katacara last week and I notice they have a strong appetite for mulberry leaves. I got about 25 medium sized silkworms and I have been putting about 6 leaves in the morning and in the evening. To me it seems like they would eat all day if they could. How many leaves do you folks think they would need?

I feed my silkworms as much as they want. You can sort of control their growth with how much they eat. I like huge silkies because I have adult chameleons, but if you have a juvi Cham just feed them to size

I feed mine the chow, but as stated above it depends on how big you want them to grow. They will eat day and night basically until all the food is gone. If you want to slow down the growth you can feed them every other day. When they get big enough, they will start cocooning if you do not feed them off.
