feeding tomato plants to breeding horns ?

I was just wondering if horns who ate tomato plants can still be used as breeding moths ? I do not want to feed off the worms or moths- but will it make the eggs/hatch - lings bad ? they will get hornworm chow to eat, but I have so many worms at different stages, I was just going to throw all the worms in a big pot that already has the tomato plant in it for the moths - then they can just go to the dirt when they are ready - or is this a bad idea ? so far no worms have had any tomato plant

I see no reason why not. They thrive in the wild eating tomato plants. As long as your not feeding them off its a go.
