This anole thinks she is a ninja, what do you think?

There are a TON of them all around my house. They can be found literally everywhere basking on warm days. I did not see this particular one until I was quite close to the plant. I was investigating it because it had sort of just appeared out of nowhere the past few days, and was flowering and everything, and I have no clue what it is. :(

She was blended in quite nicely though...

lol i breed the bahama anoles there cool to watch they like to play ninja style you should see the babies they are so small i had to put screen over the screen top lol

that ones a green anole and its also a female she might be looking to lay her eggs or egg they will lay 1 or 2 every week and they hatch after about a monthin 80 degree weather maybe you will see little ones next month or so:):):):)

Hmmm, maybe I will snag me a few, and get some eggs.

I regularly see very tiny ones, and all sizes really. :) They are definitely fun to watch. I caught one one time, I wanted to just observe it for a few hours, and see it hunt. It never ate, I think it was to freaked about being in a fishtank. I generally just let them be though, and hope they eat as many bugs as possible...

Thanks for the info:)

shes a cutie! i used to cetch anoles all day when i was little :) love em. and they are cool to watch eat. walk up reall slow and than nip it! ^^

I like it. I thing you should catch a few and take them inside the house and let them roam. They and in ever place in Hawaii, I like watching them in the parks.

Im jelous! Anoles around here are brown, not green :(
This might not have to do w the thread so much, but an anole I saw outside did not have a tail and it jumped less than the anoles w tails  This means tails affect their jump :D thats my hypothesis!!

LOL, I see them with no tails also :(
Its usually the larger adults.

The ones here change color, and they seem to jump and climb better than spider man. :p

Here are more anoles(NOT-false chameleons!)

I love anoles (they where my first pet lizard at age 7..and was even called a chameleon back then!! lol just not "old world") they are active lil lizards, fun to watch..easy to breed if you just have a huge viv and let them do it all on their own..almost been thinkin of getting a few of the larger ones and let them free roam the rooms, to pick off wandering crickets, like a lil cleaner crew..

Ha ha! You think you are ninja little grasshoppa? There are at least a couple of varieties that I know about. Some are brown and really don't seem to change. Others can change similarly to chameleons, by mood, stress, etc. from gray to browns to green. We've had a few. Unfortunately they are neither terribly friendly nor long-lived. Two years is all you can normally expect. However, they are fun to watch and really easy to care for. Here's one of our's. She would turn as green as yours when she suns.

Awesome! 7 years ago I purchased 6 anoles from a lps that would have died if not rescued. They were released by my pond and monitored for the next several days. Now, there are about 20 that have made our area home. There are 4 males trying to make the pond area their home and fight all the time. I would post pics, but don't know how.

If you feed her, she will become semi tame and come to you. I go in the back and feed the anoles and fence lizards regularly and can even coast them up my arm to eat a nice juicy cricket. :D
