Female laying eggs?

Hello everyone!
Me and my boyfriend are new to this site! We have gotten a Baby girl chameleon we have learned that they lay their eggs no matter what and we should provide sand for her. We are not 100 percent certain on how old she is but her tummy is puffy and she is getting a little "pms" ish if you get my drift. Normally she'll come onto our hands and hang out with us but recently she just hisses and trys to bite. If anyone has any helpful hints please let us know :) thank you it is all greatly appreciated:)

She should have a laying bin with a mix of sand and organic potting soil. I like about 75% sand and 25% soil. It needs to be a min of 10" deep. I use old plant buckets as laying bins and theyve worked very well for me and my crew. She will need the bin starting around 5 months of age. Make sure the soil is damp not soaking wet. Make sure she has entry and exit from the bucket by way of vines or sticks.

Laying bucket?

Hi Everyone, I am new here too. I have recently purchased a 12 month old female Ambilobe Panther. when I picked her up she was a very nice peachy color, which through a bit of research I found can indicate that she is ready and willing to mate. Anyway, every morning she comes out and hangs out under her basking light for an hour or two and then retereats to the bottom of the potted schleffera (sp?). I could be wrong, but again from my research I think that she could be looking for a place to lay her unfertilized eggs ... so, being the genius that I am (LOL) I went out to WalMart and picked up a tupperware sort of container that is about 12x19x12 and filled it with a mix of organic potting soil and sand, I have a couple of vines leading in so she can easily get in and out, and although I prefer natural plants, I put in some artifake ones to give cover to the laying bucket. Aside from all of this she is eating, drinking and pooping normally so I'm not worried in that respect, I just don't want to see her become egg bound. The previoius owner didn't provide this for her...so I'm sure it will take a few days for her to become accustomed to this new addition in her cage ... but I am hoping that it will satisfy her need as for a place to deposit her eggs while also giving privacy and safety.

If anyone has any sugestions of comments please feel free ... I've never had a female panther before and I am still learning too.

Thanks
