Female or male

Hello, Was mostly looking for second opinions on this panther chameleon. The breeder says he sent a male. But definitely sure it's 100% female with her current size. So if you can give your opinion female or male an reason of choice. Be appreciated!

It looks like a boy to me but I’m not an expert in any way. If my eyes are not deceiving me, there’s a bulge at the base of the tail and the colors it’s shown are kinda catching my eyes as well. How old is this little one?
Again I’m still learning so it’s really a guess.

The coloring looks male to me but the best way to tell is the bulge at the base of the tail. If you can get a photo of your chameleon from the side with the tail straight out that would help.

I still think it’s a male. Don’t worry you don’t want to stress your new baby out too much. A new home is a lot for them.

Thank you! Having a hard time replying. Keeps lengthing the messages/replies. Stress is what am trying to avoid. Can cause serious health issues like a rl an infections. With what i read on chameleon academy site. Still seeing female even when she's chill. An at this size. The bulge was easily noticed. Attached a photo of my male that was same size as this one. But isn't with us anymore. Had a tumor under his eye. An had be put down. Was to old handle surgery.

Wish I would've purchased from you . I just feel really stupid atm. I had panthers for 15 plus years. This is a ambilobe with what breeder says. Was a replacement from male he sent. That was DOA with fedex that got delayed. That one was definitely 100% a male. Not going post those photos I sent to the breeder. That was disappointing an this one. I received this Tuesday morning. Just been aggravated thinking its a female. I had a bad experience with a female panther sambava. That I took to the vet an was full of eggs. An needed surgery an died the day of surgery. Reason I avoid females. I don't breed so I purchased a male this Cham. An will eventually find out it's sex down the road. Idk this one's current age. But am not seeing bulge over tail base above the vent. This cham I would say is close to 6 months old. With length am definitely not a hatchling. Either way I need figure this out soon. Because females need slightly different care requirements. Basking Temps, laying bins an feeding schedules. Once I know this is 100% female. Going to surrender or sell her. Depending on her overall state in next coming weeks.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by this one. Definitely looks to be about 3-4 months old. I would be surprised if he is actually 6 months old.

I’m terrible at sexing, but even without making the pics larger I’m seeing a hemipenal bulge, so male gets my vote. I am concerned about the 2nd pic of the first ones you posted, as well as another 1-2. He looks very thin and possibly dehydrated in that pic and in that and others the spine is too prominent.

I only had this one since Tuesday? Should I be concerned? I haven't noticed any issues with the spine?.

I think the website part he read was about stress and handling!

As for sexing, @johndlcham I would suggest you let it grow up a bit before making too many plans. If a male is what you want i think you will be happy with the end result. Just give him a little bit of time to prove himself to you!

I mean his spine is more visible than it should be which is a sign of being too thin. That 2nd pic his skin is fully wrinkled as well, which is a sign of dehydration. If you had just received him via shipping, that explains his appearance. As long as he looks ok now.

Thank you! But she still looks the same. Hasn't been interested in bsfl flies or crickets. Going to try silkworms when they come next week.
