Hi! I previously started a thread wherein i was keeping one male and one female veiled chameleon in one enclosure
both are around 4-5 months

I finally managed to build another enclosure for my female veiled, complete with her own uv light and basking lamp, also has a small ficus and a bunch of branches and plastic veins

now the thing is, during the time that she was with the male in the other enclosure, her color was a really good green. but when i transferred her to her new enclosure (same size), she is now brown, same as the branches. it's been 3 days, and she is still brown :(

im starting to get worried. would it take a couple more days for her to be comfortable in her new cage? its weird because when i first got them, she didnt seem to need any time getting comfortable.

It may be that she's adjusting to the change. I'm about 6-7 days into changing my little ones cage and she's still off a bit. I was freaking out thinking the worst. Assuming you have everything set up right and she's eating, pooping and in good health, just give it some time. Maybe some privacy. Ive had to force myself to do the privacy bit.

Good Luck!

okay, thank you! im monitoring her and she's eating, drinking, and pooping well. hopefully shell grow to love her new cage..
she suddenly developed green and yellow spots today, but still mostly brown base

It can take awhile for them to adjust to a new home. Have you double checked her temps t o make sure they are correct?

yup, i used my digital hygrometer, its the same as from her previous enclosure. 80-88F from bottom to top to her basking spot

hi guys,
I noticed that she hasnt eaten much the last 2 days, maybe just a supeworm, or a dubia. Before, she ate like crazy
this is her color now
