Female veiled chameleon red tongue

my chameleon a crimson red part on the tip of her tongue. Is this normal or something for concern? Do not have pics right now. I will try next time i see her drink.

My guess is that it looks like a blood blister like people get. Maybe she bit her tongue. Just keep an eye on it.

yeah i thought the same thing. My thought was that she went for a bug on the mesh wall of her cage and hit it too hard with her tongue causing a blood blister. It already looks better today than yesterday when i made the post

Also is it normal for chameleons to come up and drink from a spray bottle like this? My cham has just started doing it. Its super cute but ive never seen that happen before
 
I've seen them try to drink from a bowl, a puddle on the floor of the cage, a stream of water coming out of a tap and anything else that water comes from just about. Just don't spray it in their mouths or drip it too fast!

from my experience chameleons can bite hard. especially adult ones. if his/her tongue gets in the way they can definitely cause a blood blister or a mark like that
