I have a 6 month old female veiled who is showing blue spotting and looks a bit plump. Her and the male had an accidental introduction while I was at work (the box between the cages fell over and they could see one another). When I got home the male was exhausted, resting near the bottom of his cage, and she was sunning, showing passive colors. I returned the box to its proper position, but now I'm wondering if I should go ahead and breed them, offer her a sand box (she has a large hibiscus she could lay in also), or just ignore it. Of the literature I have read, one scientist recommended that veileds breed between 4-6 months or they will die egg-bound. The female is one month younger than the male and half his size. Any advice?
