i came home from work about a hour ago to sadly find my female brev dead in the bottom of the tank and i think it could of been my fault. i was misting the tank with a hand spray bottle a few days ago and noticed she was diging so i shut up the tank and left her be but i dont think she laid do you think i disturbed her. could she of been egg bound ?

There is no way to know what happened. I don't think you caused this because before she just gave up she would most likely have just started again. Sadly we do lose girls in the laying process. Sorry you lost her but don't blame yourself.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Please don't blame yourself. I just had the same thing happen with one of mine only two days ago. I recall another one dying during or just after egg laying a year or so ago. One of the sad things that can happen with these tiny delicate creatures. Hopefully you get a viable egg or two, so you'll have a baby to remember her by :)

I am very sorry for your loss, I know how you feel, Easter Sunday one of my girls was digging and I had the cage covered but peeked in the top later in the day to see if she was done and needed water, she saw me. Later she finished up and buried 18 eggs, she was dropping eggs for days and couldn't pass one egg and became egg bound! It is so sad, but unfortunately happens :( As stated above, they are such delicate creatures. My thoughts are with you both
