Ferns and Spores?

Hi everyone,

I was curious, since ferns produce spores, are they really okay in a chameleon cage? They're a great plant at taking a lot of water.

Also, any primary live plant suggestions? I'd like a primary plant that has a decent stalk my cham can climb all over and up to the top of the cage of an 18x18x24. I'd be getting this plant at Lowe's or Home Depot.
