As far as I can find, the sap is irritating and if ingested, can cause drooling, stomach upset, vomiting, etc. parson’s don’t eat their plants, so do what you will with this info.

I’m not sure how strong they are. I’m thinking the toxicity is similar, if not the same, as ficus benjamina (aka weeping fig) which also has irritating sap but we still use. I would probably use it, but make certain that there are more than enough sturdy branches and vines around the plant and in general, so that your cham doesn’t need to use the ficus to move around.
 
For what it's worth, I have one in my Veileds enclosure and two spares for about three months now with no issues.
